Excellent exploration of eastern religious understanding. Loved it.

Takes the life of a spiritually minded Brahman. From privileged youth to impoverished ascetic to worldly merchant to humble laborer, this man learns God. Short but exceptional.

I second this recommendation. Great book.

    Yes, I loved this too.

I think the central message of it was that we have to grow spiritually through our own experience, rather than just being told what to do all the time. The onus is on us sometimes.

I saw the film of it in December. “What? There’s a film?” – I didn’t know about it either.

I read this book back in college and loved it (though I can’t remember much of it any more.)
