I work at the University of Mary, in Bismarck, ND. Earlier this week, a grass fire threatened the campus, and everyone was evacuated the afternoon and evening when it reached campus.

The picture in the link below of Annunciation Monastery cemetery is my favorite image.

I understand completely that people will read into it different things, based on their own perspectives, but there is an amazing power in the image itself that I simply love. There is no way I am going to attack or degrade, in any way, something that brings peace and meaning to people.

God bless the sisters who have dedicated their lives to the Benedictine mission of UMary, both in the past and in the present. May they continue to rest and work in peace as the natural trials of life rage on around them.

May the same be true for us.

Wow! I feel a bit choked up looking at that. Seems too manicured to be accidental,,,,as in divinely intervened.

I too do not wish to degrade but simply to further understand from my perspective. Was there any firefighting effort for this particular area?

No. By the time the firefighters got to the campus, they were fighting to keep the fire from the campus itself. The cemetery is a decent distance from the campus and was surrounded before the firefighters arrived.
