ParticipantDo you think that is an indication it is commonplace in today’s world, not just for the weak and sinning? February 5, 2016 at 9:42 pm #209955DarkJedi
ParticipantI think it is common, Heber, and I’m not sure it’s a Mormon-only thing. I filled it out, it was painless. (Hopefully it’s not from a mole for the Strengthening Church Members Committee

ParticipantI was thinking of doing it, but am too afraid to give them my name and everything. I wish it was anonymous since I don’t know the SLT enough to trust them with details of my faith crisis AND my name February 5, 2016 at 10:06 pm #209957dtrom34
ParticipantI filled it out, but then I got to the final question, “What else do you know more about than other people?” That made me feel uncomfortable. I answered ‘nothing’ and submitted it anyway.

My name: John Doe
I hope they appreciate the answers from a person they can’t track down.

ParticipantI filled it out. What the hell. February 6, 2016 at 2:37 am #209960Always Thinking
ParticipantOrson, Nice! I became Jane Doe and filled it out after that. I really wanted to tell my story so thanks for the idea!

ParticipantI’ll think about it. Feels a little too real. I just heard someone say that there are three ways to tell the truth: humorously, anonymously, or posthumously.

ParticipantI used my name. I figure I can sue someone if they release info they said they wouldn’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ParticipantThe question that asks what I know about more than other people: “How to decisions for my own life”
February 10, 2016 at 10:36 am #209964SilentDawning
ParticipantI looked at the site. One of my StayLDS principles is to always keep my options open to return to full-fledged activity. So, the idea of giving my story, under my real name, to the press so they can print it doesn’t fit. I know I could John Doe it, but I’m not convinced it would get printed. Plus my story is so specific people close to me would know it was me locally. So, I guess I’ll have to pass. It’s therapeutic to share your story publicly, but I think being on StayLDS will have to be sufficient… SD

ParticipantThe cover story on today’s Salt Lake Tribune is a follow up to the requests for input on faith crises. Interestingly today’s regional conference for us was about combating doubt, finding truth, and being kind and loving to those whose lifestyle and behavior is different than ours. That’s correlation for you.http://www.sltrib.com/lifestyle/faith/3527240-155/in-this-new-era-of-doubt 🙂 February 14, 2016 at 10:11 pm #209966mom3

Wouldn’t that be a great new theme?

ParticipantPeggy did her research and brought in a few different folks to round out the people covered in the article. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
