Combining high priests and elder’s quorum. That’s a good move.

I agree, and it is a MAJOR change. My eyes about popped out of my head.

Ironically, the men now mirror the organization of the Relief Society.

It doesn’t really change anything for me since I’m in a YSA ward, but I think it will help with the issue with tiny quorums in family wards. It will help a ton for rural areas and otherwise geriatric wards.

We have been meeting together a couple weeks per month for some time just to have a critical mass. Good move. I’m eager to hear more.

I am glad he said explicitly that they don’t want High Priests taking over Elders Quorum, that they want the new presidencies to be comprised of current High Priests and Elders.

    No more PEC. Nice.

That one has been coming for awhile.

HBE is advocating pushy home teaching. Gross.

There is a silver lining at least. She was at least able to get help from them. It’s going past the checklisting.

So with no PEC, is this a Sunday with no other meeting except for Bishopric meeting? How often is correlation meeting held? This was the biggest time consumer when I was Bishop. Every Sunday we had bishopric meeting, then PEC or correlation.

Beefster, the overall story is a good one. We can take multiple views of parts of it, but the story itself is a good one – especially his focus at the end on charity.

TBF, I have been tuning things out somewhat. I just fear that some members will cherry pick from that story and weaponize it.

Sure, they might – but that is on them and isn’t really different than us using it as a weapon. We shouldn’t do what we fear others will do.

That is important to recognize for internal peace.
