Did you ever feel compelled to want to carve your name in a tree or write on something??? What is it that compels us to do that? To post on the internet?

I’m not sure I agree with all the things that guy gives in the video…but maybe. I haven’t reflected on why we feel compelled to make our mark. But it feels like it is similar to what compels a person to stand and share their testimony.

I think we all try and beat eternity. I wonder if that’s partly why we sent out the Voyager space probe… that it may well outlast the human race and that was the real deal, not contacting ET.

You see cave art and there are all those hand prints stenciled on the wall… and I wonder what their lives were like and what they used to think.

An awareness of self in relation to time is uniquely human. That alone means we are uniquely eternal.

    It fascinates me.
