How to have the hard conversations

I don’t usually follow Meridian Magazine, since I find it is almost exclusively geared towards the strict orthodox latter-day saint, but this article came across my desk today. I thought I would ask this group to comment. What do you find in this article that applies to you? What differences would you throw in if the article were directed towards the less orthodox or the partial believer?
