ParticipantPoX? I can tell what the subject is, but what are those letters supposed to stand for? 😳 August 20, 2018 at 1:18 am #115876Old-Timer
KeymasterIt stands for “Policy of Exclusion” – because “pox” has a more negative connotation than “poe”. I personally don’t like the term, mostly because it is so broad and generic and simultaneously limited in its application, but I understand completely why it was coined and has caught on among people who disapprove.

ParticipantAnd just to be more clear, the November 2015 policy disallowing children of a gay parent in a homosexual relationship to have any ordinances until they are 18 and denounce their gay parents choice. August 21, 2018 at 2:45 am #115878nibbler

ParticipantBack in my LDS days I would find myself using terms that, to me, seemed quite obvious and simple. For example, a friend from our neighborhood had asked me if I wanted to go shopping with her and I said I couldn’t that day because I had a meeting at the Stake Center. She asked me what kind of steak place it was. We must have verbally danced for five minutes before either one of us realized we were talking about totally different things! -
