That is definitely my biggest gripe against garments. I can’t believe how many really attractive shirts and blouses I’ve had to pass up because they’re sleeveless. Since when is showing the top inch and a half of a woman’s shoulder is immodest?

Katpzur…women’s shoulders are immodest because lds males have decreed them to be sexual. Then lds women buy into it, teach it to their non-endowed daughters and enforce and police all other lds women around them. That’s not written with malice just why and how these cultural markers for women become “doctrine”.Lds men have a few such as beards and white shirts but women are great at really reaching high in enforcing female conformity.

Exactly, you have no idea what a good set of shoulders does for a man!! NOT!!! Too much tradition plays to big a role in these types of issues. A women with a large chest can still show off lots of cleavage with the square neck garment tops, but as long as the shoulder is covered, it’s A-Okay. Common sense needs to play a larger role in these types of decisions.

Garments used to be ankles to wrists, right? I guess that ended when enough people complained. If church HQ were in Louisiana maybe they would have settled on tattoos. :angel:

And where would the Duck Dynasty type beards fit into such a scenario?

I’ve worn several different types of technical fabrics as foundation layers, and frankly, most of them ought to be available on the garment menu. There are a lot of advantages to having the right base layer for the weather and the activity, as well as the right fit for your body type.
