Will I fit in? My guess is not completely and not comfortably. Your ideas may not be “mainstream” and you may be surprised at how readily and uncritically your fellow members accept certain aspects of the Church. However, focusing on the beliefs you have in common (BOM, JS, etc) is a good start.

Will I be welcome? Not to sound cynical, but wards LOVE reactivated members (and really only in the best sense). Especially, if you are on their radar as someone who has been inactive and especially if you throw yourself into full activity. Now this may vary from ward to ward (some wards are friendlier than others) but I think they will be glad to have you there.

A lot of times in wards the efforts to welcome people make it very hard for people to fit in.

People are so happy to see a new face that they tend to single them out for special attention. Usually this dies down after a couple of weeks though, when people get used to your presence.

I think that most wards have people that have similar struggles and beliefs as you. Sadly, people learn from experience to not talk about it too much, so it is hard to find each other.
