Some one is alway lying and I sick of it JS , BY PPP maybe they were all in on it. It’s hard for all to be in on something when all disagree so much on so many things. Frankly, that’s one of the things I love most about it all, even though it drives lots of people nuts. As I said in another recent post, we tend to complain about correlation, but then we turn around and complain about pre-correlation when everyone believed and taught the different things they believed.
There are pros and cons to both. Accepting that is foundational to peace.
Unfortunately it seems to be the situation when we try to answer the questions then more questions comes up. It is a never ending cycle for us all. IMO, knowledge can be thought of as encompassed by a circle, and everything outside the circle is what we don’t know. As our knowledge grows, so does the circle and its circumference. Paradoxically, the more we know, the more we are exposed to what we don’t know!Therefore true wisdom, IMO, is to grow in humility as we grow in understanding. That’s why I have little patience for dogmatism, arrogance and hubris in religion or politics.
I am writing on this thread because the first one is long and tangential. I might be going crazier. I read the blog post carefully last night and checked out several other sites and it might be worth considering. Is there a single verifiable record that existed before his death that shows evidence of Joseph practicing polygamy? I bet your initial reaction is to say “Of course there is!” I would like to know of such a source. What about the 1831 revelation?

It seems that all records and testimonies regarding Joseph’s wives came about AFTER his death. And here’s an interesting aspect: women could honestly say they were Joseph’s wife because they were sealed to him by proxy when he was no longer around to disapprove.This theory explains why Joseph vehemently preached against polygamy and repeatedly denied practicing it, but it would create other problems.
Yeah, I’m going crazier.
