ParticipantWell…I’m having shoulder surgery today. All my lugging luggage has ripped apart my shoulder ligaments, and I’ve procrastinated my day of reckoning long enough… My dw wanted to make sure I had a blessing last night. She wanted one too.
wish me luck…

ParticipantBest of luck! What modern medicine can do is amazing and a blessing. July 2, 2013 at 7:55 pm #171935Minyan Man
ParticipantI went through a similar operation a few years ago. (Rotator cuff) The (day) surgery went fine. It was the rehab & physical therapy that was rough.
Sleep in the recliner.
I wish you all the best, my friend.

ParticipantI wish you well wayfarer. I know what that feels like for different reasons leading to it. I hope you recover well and I want to thank you for all your contributions to this board. They have helped a lot. Best wishes to your wife as well as she copes with it, may she find comfort. July 3, 2013 at 12:17 am #171939wayfarer
Participantthanks for your kind thoughts and prayers. the surgery turned out to more extensive than anticipated, but with the pain management, i am ok and not in pain. the six month recovery period does not thrill me… and of course, pain meds have the effect of making me feel more stupid than i normally am…so i think i am just going to be reading for a while without posting! mike, you know exactly what challenges pain meds pose for friends of bill. pm me with advice. thank you for your friendship.
cheers!
