Well…I’m having shoulder surgery today. All my lugging luggage has ripped apart my shoulder ligaments, and I’ve procrastinated my day of reckoning long enough…

My dw wanted to make sure I had a blessing last night. She wanted one too.

    wish me luck…

Luck, blessings and a great doctor and whatever else it will take for things to go well.

I went through a similar operation a few years ago. (Rotator cuff)

The (day) surgery went fine. It was the rehab & physical therapy that was rough.

    Sleep in the recliner.

I wish you all the best, my friend.

I wish you well wayfarer. I know what that feels like for different reasons leading to it. I hope you recover well and I want to thank you for all your contributions to this board. They have helped a lot. Best wishes to your wife as well as she copes with it, may she find comfort.

thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers. the surgery turned out to more extensive than anticipated, but with the pain management, i am ok and not in pain. the six month recovery period does not thrill me… and of course, pain meds have the effect of making me feel more stupid than i normally am…so i think i am just going to be reading for a while without posting! mike, you know exactly what challenges pain meds pose for friends of bill. pm me with advice.

    thank you for your friendship.

    cheers!

Look at the bright side — the pain killers are totally consistent with the word of wisdom.

    Seriously…speedy recover wished upon you…
