Gospel Accelerates Technology?

Well, here is a total flip on this.

Could Satan’s minions be behind technology advances as well?

The A-Bomb proceeded nuclear fusion reactors, did it not?

An explosion of PORN fueled in many ways the explosive advances in the internet, as well as other digital technologies?

Video gaming technologies fuel hardware advances, which may be correlated to anti-social and a-social behaviors….except for cyber worlds?

The #1 use for the technology in this world (and I only mean the internet) is for evil purposes. It doesn’t mean that was God’s intent (because I am sure it wasn’t), but perhaps there are other forces behind accelerating technologies?

The porn industry has been credited to making advances in video recording and playback on computers. Youtube has been accelerated due to testosterone.

Technology is like any other tool, it can be used for good or evil… or neither. Technology can be used as another way to express our agency, maybe that alone is enough to convince people it comes from god.

Good or evil, I’m just happy to have air conditioning and heated water.

In other words, the industrial revolution kicked it off and since then both population and technology have shot upwards. I doubt technology advanced due to anything else. Satan’s minions might as well be behind surveillance technology, brainwashing etc.

I think it is just one of those egocentric things Mormons tend to say. When you take the view that all things in humanity revolve around the gospel then technology is just another example of the restoration. Like many things correlation does not mean causation.
