George
ParticipantJust saying. I identified with his position on numerous issues, and respected his thoughts on issues I disagreed with him on. A real loss, his absence that is. I trust he is enjoying the holiday weekend. I Also hope that our deceased military heros are being remembered in ceremonies and cemeteries across the land. I visited a dozen stoic monuments yesterday, to pay my respects…

ParticipantAgreed on both counts George. May 29, 2011 at 1:46 pm #145439SamBee
ParticipantYes, I miss him too. My avatar is partly inspired by his alien. (I thought if he can have a gray, I can have a yeti/bigfoot!) He was a good guy, but probably in the wrong place (ward not forum).
Didn’t know it was memorial day in the States.

ParticipantI miss him too. Wonder how things are going for him and jwald? Canadians don’t celebrate Memorial Day, we have Remembrance Day Nov. 11 so enjoy your long weekend. CG

ParticipantYup. Cwald was a great part of the community and presented valuable views. Maybe he can come back some day. If not, I always wish him and his family the best. May 30, 2011 at 3:54 am #145442Old-Timer
KeymasterI know it is ironic, given how everything played out, but if we helped them draw closer together in any way – even if it involved pain and difficulty, then it was worth it in the long run. In the short run, I know I enjoyed our association – even when I knew I was typing something that would make him shake his head and wonder what planet I inhabit.

He’s a good man; she’s a good woman. We all miss friends from whom we are separated, but part of my faith is that, someday, we will look back on all of this and smile in bemusement at how it all played out – and that we will do so together.
