ParticipantYou’re right, Bishop. There are some Latter-day Saints that are swingers. Some are even active members. December 3, 2012 at 3:59 am #163205mackay11

There’s also a message board for the mormon naturist community. It’s only a little one and I hear it’s shrivels in the cold months.

It takes all sorts. As was mentioned on another thread “don’t judge me because I sin differently to you.”
I’m not saying I’d be able to justify swinging… But if the people swinging are also able to find spiritual upliftment from attending church/reading the BoM, then let them I say. I guess officially there should be some sort of discipline, but I’ll leave that to their Bishop.

KeymasterGB, I hope you are laughing uproariously at that last comment.

ParticipantShrivel!!! Hmmph. Remember, when we stand naked before our maker come judgement, some of us will be more comfortable than others.
And in case you’ve forgotten, it’s

http://www.ldssdc.org Wow, I didn’t realise one of the MB was with us. No offense intended and, to be honest, it’s something that my wife and have occasionally discussed that we could imagine considering if we weren’t members. But do you feel as members it’s still appropriate. Well… I guess that’s an obvious question.

Yes, it’s true, we’re out here, all around. You just don’t see us becuase we have clothes on.
The problem is that people confuse nudity with sexuality and immodesty and to be honest they don’t have much to do with each other. A person in a string bikini is technically clothed but modest? Anyway this threadjack brought to you by LDS naturists/nudists everywhere. Another web site that’s interesting
http://www.ldssdc.info . No nudity just some interesting viewpoints. Now back to our usual programming.December 4, 2012 at 7:47 pm #163210SamBee

Probably because most of us come from northern European cultural roots, or at least heavily influenced by the same culture.

I wish that statement could be included in all of the lessons that deal with the Law of Chastity in all of the manuals in the Church. If we were able to decouple those very different issues, we would go a long way toward resolving so many aspects of the apostasy we inherited from our Puritanical heritage.
Ironically, this is something Joseph Smith and the early saints generally didn’t struggle to understand. Our institutional reaction to the extremes of the sexual revolution in the US was understandable but regrettable.

You saying there’s a journal entry to be found in the Joseph Smith Papers project where he recounts his trip to the Jackson County naturists…

At home, we have an ‘open’ policy on doors. Our kids will often wonder in on either of us while in the shower/bath or while getting dressed. We hope it will help develop a more positive attitude to the human body. I don’t ever remember seeing my mum naked, and my dad rarely.
That’s not some strange oedipal regret, but just aware that growing up the human body was always very private and mysterious in our home. Having said that, my parents never did proper sex-ed either.

We’ll see. We very rarely close threads, in order to keep them open for further discussion when new participants find them.
or when I remember them long after the conversations have ended and link to them when the same questions are asked in the future
😳

ParticipantWith this sex education. I do know there are three active LDS sex therapists. Only two of them I remember by name. One is Laura Brotherson and the other is Natasha Parker. They all seem very good. -
