ParticipantThis has been a curiosity for me for a long time, since I first saw a poll of MBTI’s on a message board related to LDS historical issues. I’m INTJ, which is pretty rare, ie about 2% of population, and the poll came out that a huge number like 10% or higher were INTJ. NT’s especially, were overrepresented. But then I saw counter logic that NT’s, especially INT’s are overrepresented on internet forums generally. I guess because we’re so nerdy that this kind of stuff appeals to us more than normal people? I googled and saw that hawkgirl has posted on this before. Hawkgirl, can you chime in? Would love to hear your thoughts. IIRC, i’ve had private chat with you on this before in the distant past under different moniker, but I can’t remember well.

ParticipantWe’ve had several discussions about Meyers-Briggs, and the topic comes up in association with other topics at times. Use the search function and search Meyers-Briggs or MBTI. September 17, 2015 at 3:25 pm #205117Heber13
ParticipantAs DJ said…you should check out this topic: May I have your, Myers-Briggs/Jung type, please?I think it is kinda interesting to see the majority of people here not representing the majority population. I am ENFJ.
Feel free to add your self-analysis to the thread linked above to keep it with others. It can help our threads stay organized.

ParticipantA couple of posts I’ve done over time on MBTI (I became a certified MBTI instructor in 1996 and have taught it to various teams dozens of times over the years). I’m an ENTJ. http://mormonmatters.org/2008/03/31/what-is-jesus-mbti/ http://mormonmatters.org/2009/05/23/bloggernacle-personality-survey/ September 18, 2015 at 1:42 am #205119LookingHard
ParticipantVery interesting. I am an INTJ and I do think it plays into the way I tend to think a bit more critical than many of my friends. They joke that I may not be any smarter than any of then, but I spend way more time thinking than they do. September 18, 2015 at 2:04 am #205120amateurparent
ParticipantTest can never decide if I’m an ENFJ or an ENTJ .. Apparently my F and T require a coin toss. September 18, 2015 at 4:46 am #205121hawkgrrrl
ParticipantWell, it’s all preferences anyway. Another view of my type: (E) – I’ll talk your ear off.
(N) – About nothing concrete, lots of theories and stuff I’ve read.
(T) – Don’t expect hugs or tears.
(J) – I’ll be checking my watch.

(E) – I’ll totally talk your ear off and we’ll plan on lunch next time.
(N) – About nothing concrete, lots of theories and some amazing random medical research I’ve read.
(T) & (F) Expect equal amounts of hugs, tears, and full scientific analysis of your situation.
(J) – I’ll be gently checking my watch.
Where does ability to organize any drawer, closet, club, or organization for better effectiveness and efficiency fit in? I am an organizational freak of nature.

ParticipantAmateur parent – that’s the J. My desk must be clear of all papers. My email inbox empty by the end of the day or nearly so. September 19, 2015 at 3:59 am #205126amateurparent
ParticipantThanks Hawkgrrrl! I knew that J had to stand for something …
Glad to see we share that!
