ParticipantInteresting new website setup to help find virtual and face to face based on you selecting if you are a orthodox, exploring, unorthodox, post/ex, apologetics, LGBTQ, and other categories. Interesting and I think it will be helpful for many.http://www.mormonspectrum.org/http://www.mormonspectrum.org/” class=”bbcode_url”> Mormon Expositor did a podcast on this in conjunction with Infants on Thrones (probably the most “respectful” Infants on Thrones episode ever).

ParticipantI’ve actually understood that the site is causing is accidentally adding to the disaffection process. As people go on to read and learn, they suddenly find themselves in crisis mode. I can’t confirm it, just read it recently some where. I actually applaud whoever came up with it. We all could use a better understanding of each other. I have heard that that occurs when people go to FAIR and lookup the apologetic response expecting to get an answer on a question. If they do or do not get a specific question answered, they often start seeing many other questions they never heard about before.September 6, 2015 at 10:05 pm #205179SilentDawning
ParticipantStayLDS had the same effect on me. I came here needing support for how local leaders ostracized me when I quit a high profile calling. Then I was introduced to other things that contributed to the crisis. But the end result — I’m happier now than I was before coming here. So overall, it’s better.

Yeah – that darn thing happens too. Seriously the internet really can cause more pain than joy at times. I’ve had the same thing studying up a medical condition, pretty soon I find I’d rather die, it would just be easier.
