ParticipantOff for a week guys*… should be interesting to see how that pans out. I will be going to another LDS church while away. Should be interesting to see another one after all this time when I’m still getting used to my home ward. * I may visit the forum once or twice though!

ParticipantThanks folks. I’m back now… interesting to see another church in action, particularly one in a small town.
Priesthood session was nothing much. There were about seven or eight of us. Two missionaries, me, and someone else visiting!
I went into the Gospel Doctrine class instead of investigators like at home. Much prefer GD to tell the truth. It assumes all the knowledge I have of scripture etc.
Sacrament felt very different. The babies were especially loud! Not many youngsters in that ward. I could have cheered when they said “no ward business”
😆 , at home we usually have to sustain about fifteen people a week. I have a very large right bicep as a result.July 13, 2010 at 7:19 pm #134322Tom Haws

Hilarious. Good experience.

ParticipantYeah, there’s always something going on in my ward. On the plus side, most of the speakers we get are fairly good. In the church I was visiting though, it was quite difficult for me to concentrate, partly because of the lack of air in the room. It made me very dozy!
