    I was really happy to see this. I just take it at face value and am not going to occupy myself with what “condone” means in this sentence….

    I have a lot of thoughts swirling right now, but the only one that is fully formed and would express “in real life” if I were a little braver: Everyone, please stop policing each other. Please stop cataloging each other’s Facebook and blog posts and running to the bishop with them. This is not who we are.

    It’s hard not to attach this video message to the Kate Kelly situation, as Kate tried to frame her movement and actions in the context of having questions. I don’t think that interpretation flew, but I think this video message is present in order to address the folks who think the excommunication of Kate may be a signal you can’t ask questions or have doubts in the church. Having it come from the YW presidency makes it available to the female gender. Yet is weakens the link to Kate Kelly.

    Thanks for sharing, Ann. I love it, and it doesn’t only apply to women. I’m sharing it with the stake council.
