I had to google it. I do not think it is particularly famous. I do not think that most people in UT have heard the stories. (basically a ranch in Uintah County UT that has had UFO type incidents/cattle mutilations)
Skinwalker Ranch is very famous among paranormal and UFO enthusiasts, I just wasn’t sure if it had much fame outside those circles. Roy wrote:

Well if you believe them… it’s supposed to have rampant activity, not just animal mutilations, but poltergeist activity, orbs, ghosts, werewolf type monsters etc… the whole shebang.
A few documentaries have been made about it. I was just wondering what the local take was on it, and if it was seen as hogwash by other Utahns.
That’s home for me. Yes, there are many who do. They even closed it to the public at one point. The sightings of abnormal phenomenon were much higher about thirty years ago. One of the most famous stories was about a coyote walking in the middle of the day on the farm towards livestock. A farmer took out his rifle and shot it. He thought he missed since the creature didn’t flinch. He had a semi-automatic rifle and sent numerous rounds into the creature. Nothing. The creature turned around and simply walked off. Now, I am not defending these ideas or notions, but as a Uintah county local, stories like these are famous among the denizens, especially the older population and the Ute Indians (since it is reservation land). I went there one night and walked around. I might not have been there since we were having trouble finding it, but naturally, if there is trouble, I sometimes, if not always, find myself looking for it…
