Not to sure where to put this. I live in the Denver area and recently saw “Spring Awakening”, a Broadway musical. It touches on homosexuality, abortion, suicide, premarital sex and basically “Growing up”. Religion plays a huge role in the play, although it really isn’t put in a good light, I think .. But tend to agree with in the situations. The play has a history dating back into the late 1800’s I believe. I definately felt a “Spirit” while I was there watching it. The dancing and singing was amazing. I really think it is a great thing to get teenagers into .. There is some nudity and language BUT overall it is REAL and it is REAL things parents NEED to be open with .. and talk about with their children imo. Music is very spiritual and obviously so are musicals. Just thought I would share the wealth I’ve gained from seeing it .. And hope someone out there will check it out!

I am so disappointed I missed this one on Broadway – Lea Michelle who plays Rachel on Glee (their “star”) was in it. Rats!
