    Turn,…

Some words of hope that might seem strange coming from me…the ultimate critic.

    I’m excommunicated.

And……..there is life after. In fact, my interests have expanded. What is most surprising?…my circle of friends has expanded SIGNIFICANTLY!.

I love you. Some of the best friends I have are gay as well. You will survive, and your life may surprise you going forward: you may find happiness and joy yet. I certainly think there is reason to hope.

    I am so sorry Turinturamber.

I really believe that this policy was a legal maneuver to protect the church’s businesses and universities from being forced at some future date to make concessions to legally married gay couples. I believe that this was not done out of spite or malice.

However, I imagine that it feels sorta like John D. Lee after MMM. Perhaps the church policy isn’t personal but the church didn’t seem to hesitate much in hanging you out to dry to protect the larger church interests.

I second SD’s comments about happiness being the purpose of our existence. Please do whatever is necessary to have a meaningful, joy filled, and fulfilling life. You do not owe the church anything.

This is a very trying time. 😥
