ParticipantHe’s always known that I hate polygamy, that I have problems with the way they treat women, Inspiration isn’t what the church says it is, and a lot of stupid rules that have nothing to do with salvation. He knows I have problem with the history but not to the extent that it truly is. I give him little bits at a time so he has time to think about it. I believe if I told him every thing right now, it would scare him. I’m afraid he wouldn’t feel supported while he’s the bishop. He’s so busy, he doesn’t have time to investigate the problems. He would just think it’s anti-mormon. lucysmack
ParticipantThank you for your kind words. I think it’s scary for me to write about this stuff is because I’m a bishop’s wife. Going to church is hard for me, but I want to support my husband. He really is a wonderful man. lucysmack
Participantohh, I loved that! Thanks for sharing. lucysmack
ParticipantHow would someone believe this statement. Disclaimer- I haven’t read the whole talk. Did they do a study on this theory or are they just shooting from the hip? lucysmack
ParticipantI have had the DNA testing done also. I don’t know if you knew this, but it only tracks one side of your ancestors, depending if you are female or male. If you are female it only tells you where your mothers side of the family is from. If you want to know where your fathers family is from you have to have your father or brothers take the test. So it is still possible you have german ancestors, it’s just that you will have to have someone in the family of the opposite sex tested. I hope that made since. -
